Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how F-1 Careers LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("F-1 Careers," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the F-1 Careers website at www.f-1careers.com and our related tools, reports, and services (collectively, the "Service").

We built F-1 Careers for international students and professionals, a community that often has real and reasonable concerns about how personal and immigration-related data is handled. We treat that responsibility seriously, and this policy is written to be specific about what we do and do not do.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The short version. We collect only what we need to run F-1 Careers and to create what you ask for. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not proactively hand your data to government, law enforcement, or immigration authorities, and we disclose it only where the law requires. A small set of trusted providers (hosting, database, payments, email, and AI processing) help us operate, and they may use your data only to perform their function for us. You can access, correct, export, or delete your information at any time. This summary is for convenience only; the full policy below is what applies.

1. Who we are and what the Service does

F-1 Careers operates an online platform offering information, tools, content, reports, and related services. Our current offerings focus on career and immigration strategy, including interactive eligibility and risk tools, paid strategy and document-analysis reports, and subscription-based planning tools, with an emphasis on self-petition green card pathways such as EB-1A (extraordinary ability) and EB-2 NIW (national interest waiver) and related statuses such as F-1, OPT, and H-1B. We may add, modify, or expand our products, tools, and services over time, including offerings beyond immigration, and this Privacy Policy applies to all of them unless a specific offering states otherwise.

F-1 Careers is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. This distinction also affects your data: information you provide to us is not protected by attorney-client privilege. Please keep that in mind when deciding what to share.

2. Information we collect

a. Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email, and account identifier) from Google in accordance with your Google settings. We do not receive or store your Google password.

b. Profile and questionnaire information. To generate eligibility assessments, scores, and reports, you may provide details about your background, which can include your country of birth or chargeability, current immigration or visa status, field of work, education level, years of experience, professional achievements and evidence (such as roles, recognition, or publications), and, only if you choose to share it, compensation information. Providing this information is optional, but some features will not function without it.

c. Documents you upload. Certain features let you upload documents, such as a Request for Evidence (RFE) notice, so the Service can analyze them. We process the contents to produce the requested output.

d. Payment information. When you purchase a product or subscription, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of your transaction and subscription status, but we do not collect or store your full card number or payment credentials; those are handled directly by the payment processor.

e. Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical information such as device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and general usage activity, through standard logging and cookies or similar technologies.

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, passport numbers, government identification numbers, or financial account numbers, and we ask that you not submit them through the Service.

3. Sensitive information

Some of the information you may provide, in particular your citizenship or immigration status, is treated as "sensitive personal information" under certain privacy laws. We collect it for one reason: to provide the assessments, reports, and planning tools you ask us for. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you for advertising, and we do not sell it.

We do not proactively share your information with government, law enforcement, or immigration authorities. We disclose information only where we are legally required to do so in response to valid legal process, as described in Section 5.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the Service and generate the eligibility checks, scores, reports, document analyses, and planning tools you request;
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in;
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send related receipts and notices;
  • Send transactional and service messages (such as a confirmation that a report is ready, account verification, or password reset);
  • Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide support; and
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We rely on these uses to deliver a product you have asked for, to pursue our legitimate interest in running and improving the Service, to meet legal obligations, and, where required, on your consent.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only in the following circumstances:

a. Service providers (sub-processors). We use a small number of reputable third-party providers to run the Service, each acting on our instructions and limited to the function it performs:

  • Cloud hosting and application infrastructure: to serve the website and application.
  • Database, authentication, and file storage: to store your account, profile, documents, and report data.
  • Payment processing: to process purchases and subscriptions.
  • Artificial intelligence processing: to generate reports, scores, and analyses from the information you provide (see Section 6).
  • Email delivery and account email/sign-in: to send transactional messages and support authentication.

b. Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or enforce our Terms.

c. Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

d. At your direction. If you ask us to connect you with an independent attorney for review, we will share only the information you authorize us to share for that purpose.

6. Artificial intelligence processing

Some F-1 Careers features use third-party artificial intelligence services to analyze the information you submit and generate outputs such as strategy reports, eligibility assessments, and RFE response analyses. The information you provide for these features is transmitted to our AI processing provider solely to produce your output and is subject to that provider's commitments to us as a service provider.

AI-generated outputs are informational and may contain errors or omissions. They are not legal advice and are not a guarantee of any immigration or other outcome. Always confirm anything important with a licensed immigration attorney before relying on it.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 8, and the Service includes a delete-account feature in your profile.

8. Your choices and rights

You can review and update much of your profile information directly in your account, and you can delete your account using the delete-account feature in your profile or by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:

a. U.S. state privacy rights (including California). If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold about you; request correction; request deletion; obtain a copy (portability); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no need to opt out of those activities. We use sensitive personal information only as necessary to provide the Service and for other purposes permitted without a right to limit; we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

b. EEA / UK rights. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

c. How to exercise your rights. Email us at privacy@f-1careers.com (or support@f-1careers.com) and describe your request. We will verify your identity using information associated with your account before acting, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in) and to understand general usage so we can maintain and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

10. International data transfers

We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at support@f-1careers.com and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. Review their policies before providing information.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
